Growing up with a sister with Neuronal Migration Disorder, I frequently found myself confused as to why things were the way they were. I could not understand why she had to go to the hospital so often, why she did not go to school, and why I could not play with her the same way others did with their siblings. Inspired, I set out to found Hearts for Siblings to support other kids who experience the same feelings I did and do not know who to reach out to.

I grew up with a brother who had ASD, autism spectrum disorder. This was the norm for me, but still, I noticed that my family was different than others. Understandably, my parents oftentimes focused more on my brother, but this still created special frustrations.

I hope that we can create a place of support for us, whether that be lending an ear or simply having a friend.
